Sankukan Karate:

Become Champion of your life

Jean-Pierre Trahan, black belt eighth Dan, is a real enthusiast of martial arts. Several thousand people in the region have benefited from his teaching since the school opened in 1976. But it started with judo, boxing first and later with karate in 1970-71, Jean- Pierre Trahan devoted full time to the practice and teaching of martial arts. He acquired his skills and experience at its regular practice and 26 trips to Europe with several experts. He has attended numerous training courses on various techniques. Pass this knowledge and passion to his students is essential to him. Among the students who can start practicing at the age of 4 years + and naturally with adults and among his pupils there are many who still practice with him since the beginning of this life of adventure.

Karate has many benefits beyond the mere physical exercise. Indeed, Jean-Pierre Trahan says that art allows the development of multiple values, such as respect for self and others and discipline of life, determination, besides improving concentration. For children, these lessons may have positive consequences, including behavior at school. The impact in everyday life are obvious. In adults and children, karate can greatly reduce stress, anxiety and promote physical and mental relaxation.

In addition, Jean-Pierre Trahan says that students of his school are not pushed towards a competitive karate. "The important thing is not to become the world champion, but the champion of your life," and become the champion of your life that may last much longer, to be world champion that's fine glorifying, but we all know it is not eternal, he summarizes philosophically.

The school offers classes for everyone from the age of 4 years and older. The groups are divided by age and level. We offer three months of sessions throughout the year.
